Scope of Work: Installation of window film on all internal glazed curtain walling to create a darkened and private dining atmosphere.

Challenges Faced

One of the key challenges encountered during the project was the presence of pre-existing DDA-compliant manifestation on the glazing. This had been installed by the original fit-out contractor and needed to be removed before applying the window film. Once the film was successfully installed, the DDA manifestation was carefully re-applied to ensure continued compliance with accessibility regulations while maintaining the restaurant’s design integrity.

Results

The installation of Opalux NR Slate 05 successfully transformed the dining space, providing the desired level of privacy while enhancing the atmosphere of the restaurant. The film’s deep tint effectively reduced visibility into the dining area without compromising natural light levels, creating a cosy, and inviting environment.
